Mit den RIGIFOILS hat die CALYPSO 2 fast doppelt so viele Zellen!
Die Vorderkante ist perfekt gehalten, als ob es 85 wären! Es ist mehr als ein EN-C Gleitschirm, der in der Regel zwischen 60 und 80 Zellen hat!
Mehrere Hersteller arbeiten auf ähnliche Weise an der Vorderkante: Dies scheint ein sehr guter Weg zu sein, um die Leistung zu verbessern, ohne den Gleitschirm zu beschweren oder zu versteifen.

The Rigifoil, evolved
A new feature on the Calypso 2 is a small half rib with a Nitinol rod and a short tensioning string between top and bottom cells in the leading edge. Like the original patented Rigifoil system, this helps maintain the precise shape of the leading edge, which has wide ranging benefits in terms of flying characteristics. Inflation, stability, handling and performance are all significantly improved.
